GDPR Compliance
Last updated: June 1, 2026
LinguoDesk is committed to supporting our customers' compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar data protection laws around the world.
Our role
When you use LinguoDesk to manage support tickets and translations, your organization is typically the “data controller” of your customers' personal data, and LinguoDesk acts as a “data processor” (or “service provider”) processing that data on your behalf and according to your instructions.
Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
We offer a Data Processing Agreement that includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to all customers, covering the processing of personal data within support tickets and translation requests. You can request a copy of our DPA from privacy@linguodesk.com or from Settings → API.
Data subject rights
GDPR gives individuals rights over their personal data, including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port their data, and to object to certain processing. LinguoDesk provides tools to help you respond to these requests:
- Search and export a customer's tickets and translation history from the dashboard.
- Permanently delete a customer's data, including translations and attachments, on request.
- Redact or anonymize personal data within historical tickets.
International data transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses, and we work only with sub-processors that maintain equivalent data protection standards.
Data retention and deletion
You control how long Customer Data is retained within your workspace. When you delete a ticket, article, or your entire account, the associated data is removed from production systems and purged from backups within 30 days.
Sub-processors
We maintain an up-to-date list of sub-processors who may process personal data on our behalf, each bound by GDPR-compliant data processing terms. We will notify customers of any new sub-processor in accordance with our DPA.
